Trip Details
Day 1: Arrival Nairobi – Samburu / Shaba National Reserve
Morning: Meet & Greet on arrival by Shoolosho Safaris Airport Representatives.
Transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu/Shaba Game Reserve. Upon arrival, meet your lodge/camp representative and proceed to the property with a short game drive en route.
Afternoon: Enjoy a hot lunch at the lodge/camp and get settled in.
Evening: Head out for your first game drive in the reserve, introducing you to the region’s incredible wildlife.
Overnight: At your selected lodge or camp in Samburu/Shaba on a full board basis.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu / Shaba
Morning: Choose between a scheduled morning and afternoon game drive or a full-day safari with picnic lunch boxes.
Wildlife Highlights: Spot the Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. The area is also home to large herds of elephants and over 450 bird species.
Scenic & Cultural Note: Shaba’s dramatic landscapes and cinematic fame (featured in Born Free, Out of Africa, and Survivor – Africa) add a rich visual and cultural backdrop to your safari.
Overnight: Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay – Full board basis.
Day 3: Departure
Morning: Enjoy your final breakfast in the wild.
Afterward, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. On arrival, enjoy a farewell lunch before your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.
