Trip Details
Day 1: Arrival Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Morning: Meet & Greet on arrival by Shomoolosho Safaris Airport Representatives.
Transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the lodge/camp representative and driven in a 4×4 safari vehicle with a short game viewing en route.
Afternoon: Enjoy a hot lunch and settle in at your lodge/camp.
Evening: Embark on your first game drive to explore Amboseli’s famous wildlife and views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Overnight: Preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli
Morning & Afternoon: Enjoy scheduled game drives or opt for a full-day safari with picnic lunch boxes.
Amboseli is famous for large elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and scenic backdrops dominated by Africa’s tallest mountain. The name “Amboseli” translates to “salty dust” in Maasai, reflecting its dramatic terrain.

Day 3: Amboseli – Samburu/Shaba Game Reserve
Morning: After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight (via Wilson Airport) to Samburu/Shaba Game Reserve.
Upon arrival, meet your lodge/camp representative and enjoy a short game drive on your way to check-in.
Afternoon: Enjoy a hot lunch and rest, followed by an afternoon game drive in Samburu’s unique landscape.
Overnight: Preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 4: Full Day in Samburu / Shaba
Morning & Afternoon: Choose between two scheduled game drives or a full-day excursion with picnic boxes.
Samburu offers a chance to spot species not found elsewhere, such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. The region also supports over 900 elephants and 450+ bird species.
Shaba National Reserve, with its volcanic landscapes, was the filming site for Born Free, Out of Africa, and Survivor – Africa.
Overnight: Preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 5: Samburu/Shaba – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Morning: After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your direct flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic transfer to your lodge/camp with wildlife viewing en route.
Afternoon: After lunch, head out for a thrilling game drive across the savannah plains of the Mara.
Overnight: Preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara
Morning & Afternoon: Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, or take a full-day safari with picnic boxes.
The Masai Mara is teeming with wildlife and is home to the Great Migration from June to October, when over a million wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River. Expect sightings of the Big Five, predators, and large herds throughout the year.
Overnight: Preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 7: Departure
Morning: Enjoy your final breakfast in the bush.
Transfer to the local airstrip for your flight back to Wilson Airport, Nairobi. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred for lunch, then dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight.
