Trip Details
Day 1: Arrival Nairobi – Samburu / Shaba National Reserve
Morning: Meet & Greet on arrival by Shomoolosho Safaris Airport Representatives.
Transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight to Samburu/Shaba Game Reserve. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your lodge/camp representative and transferred by safari 4×4 vehicle, with a short game drive en route.
Afternoon: Enjoy a hot lunch and relax at your accommodation.
Evening: Embark on your first game viewing drive through the dramatic landscapes of the reserve, known for its rugged beauty and unique wildlife.
Overnight: At your preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu / Shaba
Morning & Afternoon: Enjoy scheduled game drives or a full-day safari with picnic boxes.
Spot the Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx—along with large elephant herds and over 450 bird species.
Explore Shaba’s dramatic terrain, featured in films like Born Free and Out of Africa.
Overnight: At your preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 3: Samburu / Shaba – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Morning: After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your direct flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Upon landing, enjoy a short game drive en route to your lodge/camp.
Afternoon: Have lunch and unwind before heading out for an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara.
Expect to encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more amidst rolling savannah landscapes.
Overnight: At your preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 4: Full Day in Masai Mara
Morning & Afternoon: Explore the Masai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives or a full-day safari with picnic boxes.
The Mara is famed for its predator population and as the stage for the Great Migration from June to October—where over a million wildebeest and zebra cross the plains.
Watch for dramatic scenes of survival as predators stalk their prey and herbivores graze peacefully.
Overnight: At your preferred safari lodge/camp – Full board basis.
Day 5: Departure
Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the lodge/camp.
Transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.
